Amanda B reviewed Promenade Greene

I would NOT recommend this store. Had previously shopped at this store and bought many items, and was pleased with most. However, on a particular one-button jacket, the beads on the large, single button were only held by a thread wrapped around its circumference, and started unraveling on my first try at home. I was leaving the country on an extended business trip, so I called the store and mentioned the problem, and was told by an employee that they would exchange the button upon my return. When I went to exchange the button, I was handed another defective button, so I pointed this out. The store owner told me this was not the case in a very unprofessional and disrespectful manner. Given this behavior, I wanted to return the item, but was only given the option of a store credit. I accepted this and went to find another item of clothing. Ironically enough, I came across the same jacket with a non-defective button. When I showed this to the store owner, she became furious and assaulted me, grabbing my wrist and jabbing at me with a hanger in an attempt to push me out of the store. I did not know where else to turn so called 911 for help, at which point she supposedly called the police to get me arrested. I left the store as instructed by 911 and waited over an hour for my refund which never came. In the end she settled for full refund when I walked in with Westmount Security. It's unfortunate since the staff were helpful and pleasant, but the owner's deranged behaviour means that I will never step foot in the store again.
