August 2013 - We bought a New York City 3 days tour with MidEarth Travel. It was the worst tour we ever had as the result of the followings: a)Two night accommodation at Quality Inn Meadowlands in Lyndhurst, N.J., which is well-known for rude service, disgusting dirty bathroom, stained bedding, malfunction shower, noisy and non-stop water pumping & stale food. b)My wife & I should have had combined 4 breakfast vouchers for 2 mornings. But the tour-guide allowed us 3 vouchers, instead of 4. With only 1 voucher for the 2nd morning, we were treated as beggars by the rude non-English speaking restaurant guys. c)The solo tour guide disappeared early on the 2nd day during our visit to one of the attractions. Late in the evening, the replacement tour guide offered weird excuse for the disappearance of the first guide. d)Both tour guides did not seem professional or knowledgeable. The Group was given limited introduction to the city, or attractions. The Group was entertained with a couple of old "Mr. Bean" & Disney DVDs. We didn't expect anything great from MidEarth; but we didn't expect its service that poor either.
