Urbana originally started as J&L Design in Victoria in 1985. In 2003, Simon and Justa Kendall assumed ownership and renamed the showroom Urbana.

The cabinetry industry has rapidly changed over the last decade and it has primarily expanded as far as choices of materials, hardware and color schemes are concerned. Urbana has been successful in achieving the ability to present their customers with a great variety of unique choices and designs. Urbana has the largest showroom in Victoria with full time designers, support staff and a full services team.
