Founded in 1985 as a not for profit Halton daycare provider, the Parkview Children’s Centre has grown from The Lakeshore School to three trusted schools in Oakville and Burlington. At The Lakeshore School, we offer a child centred program that allows children to explore and experiment with the world around them. We encourage them to initiate projects using a wide range of natural products such as wood, paper and rocks. Our staff is always there to provide guidance and support but we rely on the natural curiosity of children to set their own pace in discovery and exploration. We find that our Burlington preschool programs provide excellent preparation for the transition to the play based kindergarten programs in area schools.
You can leave your children with us with confidence. We’re licensed and inspected by the Ministry of Education. Because of our respected programs, the Region of Halton asked the Parkview Children’s Centre to provide daycare programs in two of its long term care facilities. We were voted the Diamond Award in the Burlington Post Readers’ Choice Awards based on the support of our parents.
