The Sun Times is an award-winning local daily newspaper that traces its roots back to the earliest years of Owen Sound, with the establishment of the Times in 1853. The Times and Sun amalgamated in 1918 to become The Sun Times, which began publishing daily in 1922. The Sun Times moved to its current offices at 290 9th St. E. in early 1950 under the ownership of the Fleming Publishing Company. The Sun Times now serves the City of Owen Sound and the Grey-Bruce area in print Tuesdays through Saturdays and increasingly, seven days a week online and through social media, with a staff of local news reporters, local correspondents and a network of other local newspapers, as well and national and international news services.
