Located at 1455 16th Avenue in Richmond Hill, Distinct Learning Center is an elite tutoring service, with the goal being to help students of all ages and grades be the best they can be! With the help of qualified tutors and mentors, we aim to foster a caring and encouraging learning environment while also being educated professionals who have achieved an advanced degree in their field of study. Students’ are eligible to enroll in small group classes as well as 1 on 1 lessons that can occur either virtually or in-person, with lessons being customized to benefit student growth. In addition, Distinct Learning Center documents and evaluates students’ growth and progress after every lesson, before administering an assessment after a specific period of time to determine the strengths and needs of the student moving forward. Students of all grades and subjects can be supported at Distinct Learning Center, with support ranging from Grade 1 subjects up to Grade 12 courses as well, such as Grade 12 Chemistry. Furthermore, we also provides personalized special education support for students who possess unique strengths and needs, that may benefit from tutors who are knowledgeable in diverse strategies and learning styles. Alongside offering tutoring services for a range of grades and subjects, there are also STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs being offered to interested students, with programs in robotics being available as well. With regards to the different STEM programs available, students may choose to enroll in the following programs, wedo2.0, Spike, scratch programming, as well as the opportunity to participate in a Lego league, where students can compete in provincial, national and global events.
