Clarita reviewed Prince Video

I would rate this company -5 (minus five) if I had that option. When you take a video cassette to be converted into DVD to Price Video they take you material and your CASH, so there is no record of your transaction, which tells me 2 things: 1.- That they want to make sure in case you are not satisfied there is no record of your transaction 2.- They are not dealing with taxes like every Canadian has to collect and submit HST to Revenue Canada. I took video cassettes to be converted into DVD and the quality of their work was LOUSY! Just terrible. I know I can only have the same quality as the original VHS tape, I do not expect anything but something as good as the original...But the crap that was in those DVDs was horrible! Rainy lines at the bottom of the screen when you view it, letters and numbers from their equiptment in the screen for about 2 solid minutes, and about 30 minutes into the video, then you see a grey image impossible to understand, which shifts into vertical stripes of 4-5 colors for 1 second, back and forth into the grey image. and that was the contuinuation and end of a "DVD conversion". I went back to the store and he said, :"bring it again and I will make sure you have 1st class job", OK, I did that and the second set of DVDs he gave me was just the same horrible qualilty. I showed him with my picture/video camera the difference from the original VHS tape and his DVD and I wanted my money back. No way. He showed me a sign he has at his register, which he did not mention when I paid him the cash. He said that if I wanted a first class job, then I needed to pay him $25 an hour. I told him that with his no-refund policy I was not going to invest more money in his store. At the end, when I mentioed I was going to report him to the BBB he said to go ahead, that he did not made those lousy DVDs for me, then I asked him who did, he answered " the machine"... So pay a little bit more, don't waste money and time, don't bother going there...He is a crook and does not know how to make proper conversions to DVD. When I have time I will put a U tube video of his "work". Just to let him know you cannot do this things in this day and age, there are ways to let others know when a company cheats. I also intend to call Revenue Canada about his way of working. I am sorry to say that he is an East Indian person. I am also an immigrant to this country I love but boy I have heard stories about that culture of being deshonest from people from the area where he is from. He is not helping. I already had several bad business experiences with people from India-Pakistan area and this makes me uncomfortable. I am Canadian and I want to be always open and include us all. People like the owner ( a man obviously in charge of that video store) of Price Video do not help!
