Owner Anita Cupello insists on a personal touch at JC Salons despite embracing, with some reluctance, social media, email and all the other digital ways of communicating that have become as natural as breathing. “My son Francesco helps with that as it’s more his thing,” she says. “We’ve given in to it and are making it work for us, but we’ll always like talking with our clients face-to-face and on the phone.” However, there is one aspect of the online world that Anita has taken to in a blink of an eye: promotions. “We run regular fun and fantastic offers on our social media that are definitely worth checking out,” she says.
It’s little surprise that the salon places a lot of value on customer relations. The business is a close-knit family affair. The full service salon was opened by husband and wife team Johnny and Anita in 2000 with Francesco joining the staff on hair services and daughter Stephanie working in the spa. “My sister Liana is also on the team as an aesthetician,” says Anita.
