Dr. Schaplowsky treats the whole body, mind and spirit, not just particular symptoms. His treatment plans generally include a combination of natural medicines and specific lifestyle changes designed to bring balance to every system of the body. He works with many different health issues and is particularly interested in treating challenging health problems such as hormone problems, autoimmune diseases, digestive problems, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, depression, and other chronic conditions. In addition, Dr. Schaplowsky has expertise in the treatment of cancer (scientifically researched and assessed complementary care), obesity and diabetes.
In naturopathic medical school, Dr. Schaplowsky trained extensively in the areas of clinical nutrition, pharmacology, botanical medicine, counseling, physical medicine, as well as conventional medical treatments. He has completed extra coursework in the areas of oncology, nutrition, biotherapeutic drainage, and counseling. Dr. Schaplowsky has also trained extensively in a European (German) method of low dose herbal and mineral preparations called biotherapeutic drainage.
